Jordan Customs Launching the Customs Integrated Tariff System (CITS) on the Web

Jordan Customs Department is launching the Integrated Customs Tariff system on the web and intranet. The Department said that this step comes in the light of the Royal directives for promoting the and supporting the economic environment in Jordan; as the CITS will fulfill the needs of investors in regard of getting the accurate information electronically as quick as possible; particularly those information pertaining to commodity trade related to customs tariff and commercial agreements as well as the requirements for these commodities from the governmental Ministries and Departments.
This System, provides the ability to review all regulations and requirements of the commodity trade; in addition to the increased coordination between the Ministries and Departments involved in the goods movement coming into and exiting from the Customs territory or those passing in transit. This project is funded by AMIR Program financed by the USAID.
This website will provide full information on the trade activity and mechanisms of searching for goods through the Customs Tariff Tables, the trade agreements, coding decisions, proclamations, circulations and requirements related to the Customs Tariff Harmonized System.
